Senior Global Accountant London Flexible / Hybrid working £60,000 - £70,000 A leading health insurance company is looking for a Senior Global Accountant. This role is a key member of the Regulatory Reporting Team, and is responsible for the delivery of regulatory reporting. Responsibilities: • Delivering Solvency II reporting requirements such as Group Own Risk and Solvency Assessment Report (ORSA), Solvency and Financial Conditions Report (SFCR) and Regular Supervisory Report (RSR) in compliance with EIOPA / PRA guidance. • Assisting with the delivery of the annual and quarterly Quantitative Reporting Templates (QRTs). • Leading on the International Capital Standards project across the finance function and the SII regulatory reporting change projects. • Implementing reporting processes within the quarterly and annual reporting cycle, including the associated controls and governance. • Participating in an environment of continuous improvement to ensure that all reporting is conducted to the highest possible standard whilst meeting efficiency requirements. • Providing input into regulatory governance papers and reporting packs to senior management and committees. • Providing input into the annual stress and scenario testing as applicable to the ORSA and required PRA exercises. • Undertaking stakeholder management across Group Finance and Global Market Units in a manner that develops a ‘customer service’ culture across Group Finance to ensure that the function builds rapport with, and understanding of, each Market Unit and Group Function. • Assisting on ad-hoc accounting tasks, which will typically provide exposure to a number of senior stakeholders. Skills and Experience: • Professional accountancy qualification (ACCA, ACA or equivalent) • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other teams across the Group, Market and Business units and Senior Management • Experience of working within financial reporting processes with multiple stakeholders • Experience implementing and developing processes in finance functions • Previous experience in Solvency II reporting an advantage
