We are working with a Global Financial Consultancy Business to place a strong Audit professional into their growing Financial Services Advisory Team. The business is a rapidly growing consultancy firm who are frequently winning new clients across a multitude of sectors. As a part of the Financial Services Advisory Team, you will be responsible for a portfolio of a number of UK based FTSE 350 Financial Services entities. Working with a close-knit team of around 20 individuals, you will be leading and managing Internal Audit engagements. Using your commerciality and strategic insight, you will be liaising with key stakeholders in the business to provide actionable business advice to help grow, develop and improve processes for your clients across the board.

The Responsibilities for this role include:

  • Taking responsibility for the creation and delivery of internal audit reviews.
  • Making valuable recommendations to senior management.
  • Leading relationships with key stakeholders and applying a consultative approach to deliver bespoke, actionable advice.
  • Working to an agreed timeframe through ensuring efficient and effective working practices for yourself and the wider team.
  • Involvement in key activities such as, recruitment, budgeting, resource allocation and quality assurance.

A perfect candidate for this role will have the following skills and background:

  • A proven experience leading audit engagements (internal or external accepted).
  • A background in financial services (with a preference on the Insurance sector).
  • A commercial mind-set to deliver strategic planning and advice to this companies expanding portfolio of clients.
  • Preferably either a part qualified or recent qualification (ACA/ACCA/CII etc.)
  • A team focused attitude.
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to influence, lead, engage and manage stakeholders.
