The role of Insurance Planning Accountant is a key component of the Group FP&A team. The successful candidate will have direct responsibility for supporting the Head of FP&A and Region Business Partners for activities within the planning and quarterly reforecast processes within the Insurance Segment.

Specific responsibilities include:

* Plan and quarterly Reforecast P&L review and process management:
* Key point of contact and responsible and manage the relationship and communication with the Region Finance
Business Partners (FBPs) and Legal Entity Controllers on insurance planning related matters
* Work closely with Insurance UW Division Planner to agree Planning and Reforecast timelines, processes and deliverables and guidance for distribution to the FBPs and wider planning community
* Ensure timelines and process is “best fit” with Region BPs and LE controllers individual requirements
* Review and challenge their assumptions where necessary
* Manage circulation of: reports, presentation slides and pivot tables to Region FBPs and LE controllers
* Assist the Head of FP&A and Insurance Planner with the completion of the consolidated segment presentation slides with analysis/commentary for the Insurance SLT/Group CFO/Board packs
* Review source data and ensure payment/collection patterns are updated, reviewed and signed-off in RPE
* Oversee that internal IGR assumptions are input and reviewed by legal entity controllers and viable workarounds are in place where needed
* Work closely with Ceded Re, Actuarial, Credit Control, Treasury and LE controllers to ensure BS and CF projections are in line with expectations and completed within agreed timelines (review pre and post internal IGR)
